Watch one student's courageous stand against bullying:
Lynne Lang, Curriculum Development Manager with BJC School Outreach & Youth Development , writes about Bullying as a Public Health Problem.
Injury and violence are the leading cause of death among youth 5–19: motor vehicle crashes (31 percent of all deaths), all other unintentional injuries (12 percent), homicide (15 percent), and suicide (12 percent). Highly associated with these injuries are adolescent behaviors such as physical fights, carrying weapons and not using seatbelts, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Let’s stop the violence before it begins.
